Security Access
Intercom/Access System
Your apartment is fitted with an audio/visual intercom and security system. This system allows remote opening of the secure pedestrian entry door and communication with people at the front entrance. The handset is located on the wall of your apartment. Pedestrian access for your apartment is via the main entry lobby at the front of the building.
Note: The intercom system will also allow the visitor to access your floor level via the lifts.
Visitor At Front Door
Visitors should select the apartment number (if the visitor is unsure of the apartment number they require, they can press the right hand arrow. This will activate a directory or name search).
Once the apartment number is pressed the bell will ring in the required apartment. The occupier will lift the handset and communication between the resident and visitor is now possible.
The occupier must now press the "key" button. This will release the latch to the security door. The second button on the handset once pressed will activate the nominated floor in the lift.
The visitor has approximately 60 seconds to make their way to the lift. Only the floor allocated will be available to the visitor (see below "Apartment Handset").
Occupier Entry
To enter the building, the apartment occupier must:
• Point the proximity fob towards the proximity reader, which is adjacent to the front door handle.
• Open the front door within a few seconds of the latch releasing and proceed to the lift.
• Enter the lift and point the proximity fob towards the proximity reader on the lift panel. Only then can your floor number be activated.
Proximity Fobs and Readers
The fob can be attached to your keyring for convenience. To activate the fob, point it directly at the reader.
Two beeps will indicate a valid fob (you may enter).
Five beeps will indicate an invalid fob (locked).
Apartment Handset
When a visitor activates the bell button at the front door, the apartment handset bell will sound. Pick up the receiver. Communication between the apartment owner and visitor at the front panel is now available.
Press the key button on the apartment handset to unlock the front door so the visitor is able to proceed to the lift.
The visitor enters the lift and selects the appropriate floor button. The other lift floor buttons will not activate.
The lift has an automatic time out and will cease to be active after a set period of time.
The Visitor Leaves The Apartment
Press the lift call button in the lift lobby and enter the lift when it arrives.
Select the ground floor button. The other lift buttons will not activate. The visitor can leave the ground floor lobby by the front door.
When The Occupier Leaves The Apartment
Press the lift call button in the lift lobby and enter the lift when it arrives.
Select the ground floor button or use the proximity fob to select the basement carpark.
Carpark Vehicle Entry Door
The carpark is entered via the vehicle ramps. Your allocated carpark is indicated by the apartment number painted on the floor.
To enter and leave the carpark, point the remote at the receiver adjacent to the entry doors and press the button.
On receipt of the signal, the door will automatically open and close after a set period of time (i.e., 30 seconds).
You will need to use the proximity fob to open the pedestrian doors from the carpark to the stairwell (basement), and also to the lobby (ground).
