Hot and Cold Water
Hot Water System
System Explanation
Water is supplied to your apartment via a reticulated water system throughout the building which is supplied by a bank of "on demand" gas hot water heaters located on the roof of the building.
Hot Water Isolation Valve:
There is a stop valve for your apartment located in the ceiling above the entry door.
Tempering Valves
A tempering valve has been installed in your apartment in line with current building regulations. The hot water supplied to the bathroom and en-suite taps is preset to 48 degrees Celsius.
The tempering valve, which mixes cold water to the hot, is generally located in the ceiling space of the apartment.
The valve should not require occupier maintenance and any problems associated with the hot water supply should be checked by a registered Plumber.
Cold Water System
Location of Stop Valve & Water Meter
The water meters and stop valves for the cold water supply are located in the rear of the garbage chute room and/or linen chute room on your apartment floor.
Each stop valve is labeled with the appropriate apartment number.
Emergency Information:
It is highly recommended that you familiarise yourself with the exact location of the stop valve for your apartment in case of an emergency shut off.
